Dedicated hosting is a service that gives you exclusive use of a server in one of our world-class computer facilities. Unless you have an operational need for dedicated hardware, grid hosting often provides greater reliability and performance at lower cost.
Our standard 19" racks sit in specialized computer data rooms featuring 24 hour security, proximity badge access, climate control, power conditioning, and much more. We offer two flavors of dedicated hosting: managed servers and colocation.
Agathon Group's managed servers provide you with a server dedicated to your organization without having to purchase new hardware or worry about keeping software up-to-date. You lease the server from us, and we manage the operating system and supporting applications while giving you full superuser ("root") access.
With colocation we put your own server in our data center. While there is a higher starting price tag to go with a colocated server, it gives you equity in your server and the monthly fees are lower. We are available to help manage the operating system and supporting applications under optional support contracts, or you may handle those details yourself.

As a potential alternative to metered bandwidth, we can provide capped bandwidth. Capped bandwidth provides a more regular monthly bill, though it does not provide bursting capabilities. Contact us for more info.
